Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to send out an update on SUMURI Training. We have just expanded and have brought on four new instructors to teach our courses. We decided it was time to give Steve a hand in presenting our Best Practices in Mac Forensics and Advanced Practices in Mac Forensics since he has been teaching them non-stop since 2007!
Let me introduce our new instructors.
William Oettinger is a retired Marine and Las Vegas Metro police officer. Bill is also the author of Learn Computer Forensics, a critically acclaimed book that should be in everyone’s library. Bill also instructs college-level digital forensics courses and continues to work in the field.
Brandon Hunter manages the digital forensics lab for a state law enforcement agency. He has been doing digital forensics for more than 15 years, is a court-recognized expert, and frequently instructs on a variety of tech topics. Brandon is one of our course developers and is working on bringing new content to our training catalog. When Brandon isn’t working, you can find him scuba diving under the balmy waters of Alaska.
Lee Eaves manages the digital forensics lab for a sheriff’s department. He has almost 20 years of experience in digital forensics as a federal agent, corporate cyber security examiner, and detective sergeant. Lee was instrumental in the creation of the local ICAC task force in his jurisdiction. He also is the handler for Remi, an electronic detection K-9.
Jim Martin is a retired Homeland Security senior special agent who has worked in the field for over 25 years. Jim has continued working in digital forensics as an instructor/developer for AccessData and in professional services for Guidance Software and Ricoh. Jim is also an assistant scuba instructor with hundreds of hours underwater.
All of our instructors are also current holders of the IACIS CFCE certification, among other certifications. SUMURI stresses the need for our employees and instructors to have only the best in digital forensic training and have as a requirement to hold the CFCE. All of our instructors have also gone through the SUMURI Certified Forensic Mac Examiner process and have been awarded the CFME certification.
Here are our courses that currently have seats available:
